Less than 24 hours notice or missed appointment: full cost of appointment charged. If you reschedule your appointment, 50% of this fee will be credited towards the cost of the rescheduled appointment.

24-48 hours notice: 50% of appointment fee charged

More than 48 hours notice: no charge.

Your genetic counsellor spends time in the days leading up to your appointment reviewing your records and preparing to meet with you. The cancellation policy reflects both the time lost preparing for your appointment, and the inability to have other patients schedule an appointment in the time slot that was reserved for you.

Additionally you are responsible for coming to your appointment at the correct time and being aware that our clinic’s emails and calendars are in Eastern Time.
