Full Service Products of Conception (POC) Testing
If you are a provider of reproductive medicine, caring for patients experiencing pregnancy loss is a top priority. Many patients want to understand the reason for their loss. We know that 50-60% of first trimester losses happen due to random chromosome errors, but it isn’t always the cause. Products of Conception (POC) testing can help you know with certainty whether a patient’s loss was chromosomal. It can provide patients with significant emotional relief to have an answer on paper, and if the loss is not chromosomal, you can help guide them with further treatment options.

Patient Discovery Call & Consent
Certified Genetic Counselor Meaghan Doyle, MS, CGC will contact your patient for a free call to tell them more about POC testing, discuss costs, and obtain informed consent to ensure they want to proceed.
Sample Collection
If your patient is having a D&C, we’ll ensure the provider has a specimen collection kit on hand to collect the sample and send it to the testing lab.
If your patient has their loss at home, we’ll get them a kit, and walk them through the process of collecting the tissue.
Emotional Support
We understand how difficult, and often traumatic it can be to lose a pregnancy. Meaghan and staff at Femade are available to ensure your patients receive the support they need.
Result Review
All patients who work DNAide and Femade for POC testing will meet with Meaghan to review results when they are available. The ordering clinician will receive a copy of the test report and Meaghan’s consult note with any recommended next steps soon after she has disclosed results.
